Perry S. Long, CFP®, CDFA™ is the owner of Long Range Divorce Financial Analysts, Inc. where he heads the firms divorce financial analysis and litigation services practice. Perry has the specialized knowledge and skills to help attorneys and their clients understand the financial impact of dividing property, retirement, and investment assets, as well as ways to structure spousal maintenance and/or child support. Perry works with attorneys and their clients on financial matters of divorce that include determining future budgets, marital lifestyle analysis, non-marital tracing of assets, property settlements, determination of income for support purposes, spousal maintenance and child support analysis, expert testimony, income based asset analysis, as well as helping clients to understand and plan for how a settlement will impact their circumstances post-divorce. Perry also provides financial neutral and or mediation services. Perry’s background and experience as a financial planner since 1989 has given him the unique ability to be able to simplify complex and potentially confusing financial concepts which can help to move the divorce process along more smoothly.

After graduating from Mankato State University in 1988, Perry began his career in the financial services industry in 1989. In 1993 he earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner® and in 2010 earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designation. Perry completed his Rule 114 training in 2012 and Financial Early Neutral Evaluation (FENE) training in 2013.

Perry’s goal is to give his clients a greater sense of control and peace during what can be a very chaotic and uncertain time in their lives.
Perry and his wife have three sons, one who has recently graduated from the University of Minnesota, and two in high school. Perry enjoys golfing, camping, and sports with his family, and also likes to spend time on his newest hobby of photography.
